I observed with Steve and Becky the echocargiogram and it was absolutely amazing to watch this beautiful little boy move all around and his heart looking so perfect and beating in perfect sinus rhythm. I was so proud of my grandson having a ball in his play pen. This may be the only time I will ever see him play so lively which brings great sadness.

Stephen,

My thoughts and prayers are with you, Becky and JJ. A little over a year ago I had never heard of a diaphragmatic hernia. At that time some close friends of ours received similar news to yours. They also decided that it was not their place to play God and resolved to enjoy every minute they had with their little boy Elliot. I am not sure if it would be helpful or not to have another family who has been through this to talk to but I am pretty sure that Lisa and Joe would be happy to talk to either of you if you decide you would like to talk to another couple who has been in yours shoes.

With prayers,
Martha

SJ,

I just wanted you to know my thoughts and prayers are with you, Becky and JJ for continued strength. You are such an inspiration and JJ is so very lucky to have you as a daddy. As a parent myself my heart goes out to you and Becky.

Big Hug =o)
